HYPERBARIC
OXYGEN THERAPY

Hyperbaric Safety

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a safe outpatient procedure lasting around an hour per session.

The doctor will discuss the various protocols needed, depending on your condition.

It simply involves stepping into the hyperbaric chamber, either sitting or lying down, and breathing normally.

You are allowed to bring in a book or magazine or journal to read or write while the process is ongoing.

Some patients even opt to take naps inside the hyperbaric chamber.

It is a comfortable, non-invasive treatment that is generally safe for most people.

Many children undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy, particularly those with autism. Young kids go into the chamber with a parent or guardian.

While there are some reports of ear pressure, sinus problems, and nearsightedness, all of these conditions are temporary and go away in a small amount of time after treatment.

Those that are sensitive to ear pressure are even allowed to chew gum inside the chamber to avoid it.

With all the benefits that come with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, these are very minor side effects that go away in time.

We take pride in ensuring the utmost safety of our patients.
All of our patients are instructed about the mechanisms and safety features of the chambers and HBOT in general during their initial consultation.

We make sure every person is prepared, well-informed, and comfortable before entering the hyperbaric chamber for treatment.

You can be sure that your treatment plan has been created by experts in the field who have successfully treated multitudes of patients.

Our hyperbaric technicians, and/or physicians are right there with you throughout the entire treatment.
